Embroidery has made a major comeback in recent years, and today’s embroidery trends feature projects that are modern in style and quick to complete–because let’s face it, who among us can spend months stitching a single needlework project?!

This class will teach you everything you need to know to start exploring the world of modern embroidery. Stitchery designer and author Jessica Marquez will show you all the steps, including how to sketch your own design or transfer any image you like onto fabric; several basic embroidery stitches; how to frame or display your piece; and more. Several design templates will be provided, including the arrows shown above. You’ll leave with a small embroidered piece framed in an embroidery hoop, and enough knowledge to tackle more embroidery projects on your own.

We’ll provide everything you need, including fabric, embroidery floss, needles, a hoop, and designs to trace or the tools to draw your own. The supplies will be yours to keep, and you’ll leave with a finished embroidery project made by you!
