About the location
Brooklyn Craft Camp will be held in the fabulously vintage hall of the Messiah Church in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Truly a relic from another era, the hall is decades old and features tons of original features and old-school charm. From stunning stained-glass windows to fixtures that date to the early 20th century, you’ll feel like you’ve stepped back in time, perhaps to the cafeteria of an old elementary school. The hall is frequently made available to community and art-related events, and it’s the perfect space to escape and get crafty for a day!
The hall is located at 129 Russell Street (between Driggs and Nassau Avenue) in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. It is an approximate 7-minute walk from the Nassau stop of the G train, and a 12-minute walk from the Graham Avenue stop of the L train. Traveling by car, it is located just across the Williamsburg Bridge. (Click here to view a map to the location.)
About the organizer
Brooklyn Craft Camp was founded by Brett Bara, a lifelong crafter turned DIY professional. Brett set out to create a day where she could combine her love of crafts with the creative spirit of the Brooklyn community, while also enjoying delicious food, good friends, music and cocktails. She put all of it together into one perfect day, and Brooklyn Craft Camp was born!
